Walking weeks in "The golden October" from 3.10. to 17.10.

We offer you a guided walk with our Königstein's restaurant manager or trained guides every second day free of charge.

Walk through the nature and landscape way round the "Bocksbühl" hill, over the botanic teaching path to Pruppach (restaurant).

Walk over the "Kühberg" hill with the "Johannis chappel" (2WW monument) to the "Teufelsstuhl" (Devil's chair - easy-to-climb rock with a good view), then to the oldest living cave of this area - the Kühloch, then to Kürmreuth (restaurant), from there on a comfortable way about Lunkenreuth and Döttenreuth back to Königstein.

Walk through the Steinberg with his marvelous mixed deciduous and coniferous woods and romantic rock formations, among this "Der Zwinger" with a view pulpit and many rock faces, to Pruihausen (restaurant), on the way back inspection of the one and only two-storied double chappel of the Oberpfalz, the castle chappel Breitenstein, built in the 12th century.
Steinberg: arduous; way back: not arduous
Walk on the "Ossinger" hill (653m) with outlook tower, stop in the Ossinger hut with hut evening and afterwards following night walk back to the market place.

Walk with the forest warden through the colorful autumn forest on the excursion path: little paths wind through bizarre rock formations that come from the primeval times (Jura Mountains sea), about romantic forest paths and thick woods up to the "stone town", further to the Maximilian's cave (show-cave with the greatest dripstone of Germany, the 5.5 m high "Iceberg"), after the inspection and stop in the Grottenhof (restaurant) back to the starting point.

Walk to the Königstein's golf course in Namsreuth (Golf restaurant) with trial-golfing and excursion afterwards back through Wildenhof to Königstein

Walk through the "Sun Watch" (little cave) and "Mystery cave", a little rock hall with remains of a lime touch and dark spots (blood splashes?), to Neuhaus for the castle Veldenstein, inspection and stop, back through Krottensee (old street village) to Königstein
